On Saturday 25 th March, Hollins Homes supported our first Mini Rally Championship of the season, together with Glenbrook; a trusted and long standing joint venture partner.
Since 2020, Glenbrook and Hollins have sponsored the Mini rally event; brainchild of John Goff from Shropshire. The event offers an affordable point of entry into this competitive sport, making it accessible to young and new drivers.
Each year there are roughly ten events across different terrains, from gravel (in forests on tracks) to tarmac (such as old airfields). The entry is very diverse, attracting navigators as young as 14, up to the oldest driver who is over 70.
Plenty of female competitors also partake, making it inclusive and friendly. Guy Butler, director at Glenbrook commented:
“One of the great things about the Challenge is how inclusive it is; rallying is a male dominated sport but the Minis attract more women than any other section of the sport and it is welcoming and friendly.”
The series is located across England and Wales, attracting people from a range of backgrounds – from postmen to students to designers; it has a broad reach and welcomes all!
We’re pleased to continue supporting this highly inclusive event and can’t wait to see the Mini’s sporting Hollins branding, on their next outing in Anglesey!”
